We waste one-third of the food we produce, yet one in nine people go to bed on an empty stomach, two stats that compelled us to create a campaign for good.

Recipe for Disaster began life as a side project. We pitched the idea to the United Nations World Food Programme and they loved it. We spent six months developing it with them before Anomaly London, our current employer, took it on as a project.

We set out to create a campaign to help raise awareness of food waste and the World Food Programme, but have achieved much more. Recipe for Disaster is now the global brand platform from which the UN will talk about food waste,as they aim to create Zero Hunger by 2030.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR / COPY

I’ve been an advertising creative for 11 years, working in both London and Sydney for JWT, DDB, Havas and Publicis Marcel, creating campaigns for some of the biggest brands in the world including HSBC, SHELL, HEINEKEN and VW. I’ve put testicles on a page 3 model for a cancer charity, turned The World’s Rich List upside down for the UN and made ink out of air pollution for Tiger Beer. My campaigns have put brands on the front page of CNN, Huffington Post, The Guardian, BBC news, The Vatican Magazine and in The Design Museum.
